Cynthia Diane (Ware) Brill (BBA '87) passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2014. Cindy was born October 26, 1962, in Kalamazoo to James S. and Sheila D. Ware of Kalamazoo and Bonita Springs, Florida. She was a resident of Placitas, New Mexico, and had lived in that state for 25 years. A graduate of Portage Northern High School and Western Michigan University's Haworth College of Business, Cindy was interested in architecture and design and studied kitchen and bath design at Triton College.

Cindy was also interested in art and always visited the Kalamazoo Institute of Art and the Detroit Institute of Art during the time she spent in Michigan each summer. She volunteered as a friend of the court in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and enjoyed time with her family and friends, especially her niece and nephew, at Little Glen Lake and Sleeping Bear Dunes. She belonged to the Placitas bridge club and was active in a swing dance group, and also enjoyed gardening and biking the Rio Grande trail. Cindy's husband of 25 years, Stephen A. Brill (BA '86; MA '88), is also a Bronco. A celebration of Cindy's life will be held in Kalamazoo in the spring of 2014.

Cindy's family has set up an endowment fund in her memory. This fund supports students in the Haworth College of Business at Western Michigan University. Please use the button below to make a memorial contribution in Cindy's honor.
